These workshops follow on from the Introductory 5 day Alzheimer’s Society Dementia Care Training Skills course and are designed to take the participants on to an advanced skill level.

Part 3 workshop – 2 days. Includes module five of the Trainer’s Manual - Behaviours we find difficult. Part 4 workshop – 2 days. Includes module on ethics and complexities in Dementia care training.

A Journey in Person Centred Care

Merevale House was selected by the Alzheimer’s’ Society to feature in their new video’ Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow’ and in the University of Stirling’s Dementia Services Development Centre publications.

This practical workshop gives valuable insight as to how person centred care actually works in the daily life of the person with a dementia within Merevale House (care home). Share their challenges in experiencing and implementing a person centred philosophy, leadership style, and their training and development programme for care staff.
